Understanding Demand Levels

Our demand levels are calculated dynamically based on the relative popularity of schools in the current dataset:

Very High DemandTop 5% of schools; extreme competition in all phases

High DemandTop 20% of schools; strong competition in most phases

Moderate DemandTop 50% of schools; moderate competition in Phase 2C

Normal DemandTop 80% of schools; occasional balloting in peak years

Low DemandBottom 20% of schools; rarely requires balloting
